'Peaky Blinders' Season 4 Will Hit Netflix This December

Gritty period drama Peaky Blinders will return to Netflix for its fourth season this December.

Per Deadline, Season 4 will officially drop on the streaming service beginning December 21.

The British gangster series stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, leader of notorious gang, the Peaky Blinders, in early 1900s England. The Shelby family has gone through all manner of ups and downs in the show’s three previous seasons, but it sounds as though Season 4 might just be its most dramatic yet.

The new season will be comprised of six episodes and open with Tommy estranged from the bulk of the family, on account of the fact that he got them all arrested last time around. The Shelby clan will be forced to reunite and work together once all of are threatened with “annihilation” by the arrival of a mysterious letter.

Oscar winner Adrian Brody joins the cast this season as mafia scion and new Shelby nemesis Luca Changretta, while Game of Thrones alum Aidan Gillan comes aboard as a larger than life gypsy by the name of Aberama Gold. Paul Anderson, Returning cast members include the always amazing Helen McCrory, Tom Hardy, and Charlotte Riley appearing for the first time since Season 2.
