'Boarders' Celebrates Final Season with Over a Dozen First Images
Like all high school-set series, graduation eventually arrives; 'Boarders' Season 3 celebrates the senior year with 17 first-look images.
Boarders is quite possibly the best teen comedy on TV currently, a solid heir to the legacy of Netflix's sleeper hit Sex Education. The series stars Josh Tedeku (Supacell) as Jaheim, Jodie Campbell (Bulletproof) as Leah, Sekou Diaby (What It Feels Like For A Girl) as Toby, Myles Kamwendo (The School for Good & Evil) as Omar, and Aruna Jalloh (RSC: Much Ado) as Femi, five inner-city London teens plucked from their homes to attend the extremely tony St. Gilberts. What started as a stunt by the school to cover up a racist scandal became a standoff between the students and the headmaster as everyone was forced to question their assumptions.
The series was an original pitch by writer, creator, and executive producer Daniel Lawrence Taylor, and was greenlit through the BBC's push to diversify British storytelling. That it wound up being one of the best shows of the last five years is just another reminder why these programs are so important. Taylor, who also stars in the series as mentor Gus, said as part of the press release:
“I can’t wait for audiences to dive into our third and final season of Boarders. This final chapter delivers all the fun, funnies, and messiness that fans have come to adore. I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support the show has received - it’s truly been a labour of love. Here's to one last ride!”

Here's the synopsis for the series' final season:
Boarders follows five talented black inner-city teens transported to an alien world – an elite British boarding school – after gaining scholarships to the prestigious St. Gilbert’s. Now they’ve made it to the final term, exams are looming and the pressure is on. They’ve set their sights on big futures - but new dramas are erupting everywhere. A shocking school rivalry brings violence, love triangles and shattered friendships. Can the scholarship kids conquer the madness to come out on top?

Series leads Jalloh, Campbell, Tedeku, Kamwendo, and Diaby return to lead the final season. Also back for the final season: Niky Wardley (Queen of Oz) as Carol, Tallulah Greive (My Lady Jane) as Beatrix, Rosie Graham (Sanditon) as Florence, Georgina Sadler (A Woman of Substance) as Mabel, Zheng Xi Yong (Barbie) as Xiang, Archie Fisher (Death By Lightning) as Cheddar, Ruxandra Porojnicu (Trying) as Yelena, Maxim Ays (The Larkins) as Felix, William Andrews (Sweetpea) as Mackers, Yuriri Naka (Curfew) as Ms Kaneko, Internet personality Al Foran as Stanley, plus no-longer-newcomer Andrew Harmon-Gray as Graham.

The series's popularity has inadvertently led to a star-studded final series, which will introduce a host of new characters to St Gilbert’s. Season 3 will include guest stars Rufus Jones (Rivals) as George Tramley, Cheddar’s MP father; Patrick Baladi (Line of Duty) as Carol’s ex, Alfie Watlington-Geese; and comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri (We Are Lady Parts) as Mrs El-Fassi, a formidable rival headmistress.
Also joining the final season: Kenyah Sandy (Small Axe) as Benjamin, Leah’s new love interest; Daisy Jacob (Everything I Know About Love) as Pixie, a new girl who quickly catches Femi’s attention; Louis Thresher (Coven Academy) as Jonny, Omar’s new friend; and Nagaieh Dad (A Year in London) as Yusef, an unpredictable agent of chaos who pulls Abby into his orbit.

Taylor is the lead writer, with Yemi Oyefuwa returning alongside him to pen Season 3, as well as new additions Cherish Shirley, Temi Wilkey, Alex Straker, and Emma Dennis-Edwards. Season 3 will be directed by Yero Timi-Biu (Three Little Birds) and Satya Bhabha (Gossip Girl), with Taylor making his directorial debut with the show's series finale. Ali MacPhail returns as producer, Carleen Beadle-Larcombe as Line Producer, and Mykaell Riley as Musical Director. Taylor is also an executive producer alongside Madeleine Sinclair for Studio Lambert and Nawfal Faizullah for the BBC.
Boarders Season 3 will debut on BBC Three in March 2026, and follow on Tubi in the U.S. shortly after.
