Harriet Walter Joins 'Killing Eve' As Filming Begins on Season 3

Good news for fans of BBC America and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Killing Eve is coming back for a third season. The series is the second major hit from the BBC's Americanized counterpart on this side of the pond after Orphan Black. It's continued success is not only great for fans of anglo-television but also female-produced fare.

Waller-Bridge began the show, writing and directing the first season. But after deciding to return to Fleabag for a second round instead of Killing Eve, she passed it off to Emerald Fennell to run. The new season will continue the tradition of giving the show to a new set of female writers and directors to control. Season 3 will officially be overseen by British writer Suzanne Heathcote (Fear the Walking Dead), who will act as lead writer and executive producer. Waller-Bridge has assured viewers that faith in another new showrunner will be rewarded:

I'm very excited that the Killing Eve baton is being passed onto another incredible writer for season three. We can sleep soundly knowing these characters are safe in Suzanne Heathcote's hilariously murderous hands.
