Everything Coming to BritBox & AcornTV in February 2026

It's our monthly rundown of everything coming to the British-focused niche streaming services like BritBox and AcornTV, in February 2026

There’s big news in the niche streaming world for 2026. As most fans of British shows (and specifically British cozy crime shows) are undoubtedly aware, AcornTV experienced its first major breakout success since Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries in 2016. In 2025, the streaming service took not one, not two, but three big swings with brand new mysteries anchored by well-known actors: Art Detectives with Stephen Moyer, Irish Blood with Alicia Silverstone, and Murder Before Evensong with Matthew Lewis. While the first and last did moderately well, Irish Blood rode a well-timed wave of Clueless anniversary nostalgia, smashing all-time viewership records and making the series into the streaming service’s most significant success ever.

In the wake of all this, AMC Networks is attempting to restructure its federation of small streaming services, including finally (finally!) course correcting its biggest issue. Since purchasing Acorn TV in the mid-teens, AMCN has effectively had three services competing for the same slice of the audience: Acorn, AMC+ (BBC America’s default streamer), and Sundance Now, which AMCN used to host all its U.K. shows before acquiring Acorn. There have been some moves to address this, from joint premieres across Acorn, AMC+, and BBCA to gradually moving Sundance Now shows that failed to thrive to Acorn in hopes of finding an audience.

However, starting this month, Sundance Now is officially no longer the home of random British streaming series no one knows exist. The service has been fully overhauled and will now deliver what most people would expect from a streaming service named for the famous film festival: Independent Films. Telly Visions will continue to cover Sundance Now; we cover AMC’s IFC when it airs British movies, and we will do the same for Sundance. But it also means viewers can expect a more streamlined experience, as shows that would once have been randomly available on Sundance Now will almost certainly debut on Acorn TV instead.

With that announcement, let’s review everything coming to the dedicated niche streaming services in February 2026.

The Last Anniversary

Ironically, after that long introduction, there aren’t that many premieres for Acorn TV, which, like PBS, debuted several big titles over January, most of which will continue to release new episodes through the end of February, including My Life is Murder Season 5, Hidden Assets Season 3, Gangs of London Season 3, and Planet Earth: Kingdom. However, there is one major debut transferring from the Sundance Now platform: The Last Anniversary. Based on the novel by Liane Moriarty, and produced by (but not starring) Nicole Kidman, the six-parter features Teresa Palmer, Miranda Richardson, and Danielle MacDonald in a thriller set on the mysterious Scribbly Gum Island, where all the inhabitants are women. All episodes will be available to stream as a binge on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Justice: Those Who Kill

Acorn has been quietly bringing over seasons of the 2019 Danish series Those Who Kill (Den Som Dræber) since 2021, with each season given a different title header. Season 1 was Darkness: Those Who Kill, Season 2 was Blinded, and Season 3 was Lost. Season 4, Justice: Those Who Kill, will once again star Natalie Madueño as Louise Bergstein, a criminal profiler and women’s crisis centre therapist, who is given yet another puzzling season-long case to solve. All six episodes will be available to stream as a binge on Monday, February 16, 2026.

The Family Next Door

Acorn TV’s latest original, The Family Next Door, is based on the best-selling novel by Sally Hepworth, and was produced in conjunction with Australia’s ABC network. It arrives at the end of the month with Teresa Palmer (A Discovery of Witches) anchoring the new mystery series as the enigmatic Isabelle, who moves into a small seaside cul-de-sac where her obsessive drive to solve a mystery casts suspicion on four neighboring families. The series premieres on Monday, February 23, 2026, and will continue with weekly episodes on Mondays through the end of March.

Father Brown Season 13

Meanwhile, on BritBox, February will bring new episodes of Riot Women Season 1 and Shetland Season 10, both carryovers from their respective January premieres, as the month’s first official debut goes to the long-running fan-favorite, Father Brown. Season 13 will once again star Mark Williams as the titular vicar, with the current supporting cast line-up of Tom Chambers, Claudie Blakley, Ruby-May Martinwood, and John Burton all back for another set of case-of-the-week stories based on the G.K. Chesterton short stories. The ten-episode season will premiere on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with new installments streaming on Tuesdays through the end of March.

Grace Season 5

BritBox picked up the police procedural Grace, starring John Simm (I, Jack Wright) as the titular DSup Roy Grace, almost immediately in 2021, but unfortunately, the show has yet to make inroads with American audiences. However, with the streaming service’s ever-expanding reach and wave of new subscribers at the end of 2025, here’s hoping the feature-length case-of-the-week series, which co-stars Richie Campbell as his assistant DS Glenn Branson, finally gets some viewer love. Season 5 debuts Thursday, February 5, 2026, with one episode a week through the end of the month on Thursdays.

Ten Pound Poms Season 2

Ten Pound Poms Season 1 debuted on BritBox after we’d already gone on hiatus in October 2025. The Stan-BBC co-production features Michelle Keegan, Warren Brown, and Faye Marsay as British expats who sailed to Australia after World War II, hoping to start new lives for the low cost of £10. Season 2 continues their story as they stick it out down under in hopes of finding their slice of the Australian dream. Two episodes debut on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with one episode to follow on Wednesdays through the end of March.

The 79th British Academy Film Awards

The BAFTA Awards, both film and TV, continue to be simulcast on the BBC and BritBox. The 2026 edition of the film awards arrives towards the end of February, just ahead of the 98th Oscars in the U.S. This year's telecast will be hosted by everyone's favorite host of The Traitors U.S., Alan Cumming, and promises musical acts and a red carpet pre-show. The 79th BAFTA Awards will stream live at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 22, 2026, with a one-hour red carpet lead-in at 2 p.m. ET.

Deadwater Fell

Finally, while Acorn TV is making way for an influx of Sundance Now titles migrating over, it’s letting go of the rights to some of its less successful shows, including the David Tennant-starring Deadwater Fell. We originally covered the series when it arrived on Acorn TV in the weeks just before the pandemic, but most viewers likely missed it, understandably so. Consider this your second chance to catch a genuinely twisted mystery, as all four episodes will be available to binge on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
